Savoury Cheese and Lavender Biscuits

Want a biscuit that isn't too sweet? Try these savoury cheese biscuits. They're easy to make and quite yummy to eat. By combining a couple of cheeses with some mixed herbs and lavender you get a delicious biscuit that you'll love to eat.

Equipment

  • Baking Tray

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Self–raising Flour
  • 125 g Butter chopped
  • 2 tbspn Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 cup Tasty Cheddar Cheese grated
  • 1 tspn Mixed Herbs
  • 1 tspn Culinary Lavender or to taste
  • 1 tbspn Water

Instructions

  • Sift the dry ingredients into a medium bowl, rub in the butter.
  • Stir in the cheeses, mixed herbs and culinary lavender.
  • Mix enough water in to make a soft dough.
  • Knead on a floured board until smooth.
  • Shape the dough into a log, wrap it tightly in foil and refrigerate.
  • Cut into rounds and place on greased tray.
  • Bake in a moderate oven at 180 °C until lightly browned.
  • Let cool on the tray.
