Want a biscuit that isn’t too sweet? Why don’t you try these savoury cheese biscuits. They’re easy to make and quite yummy to eat. By combining a couple of cheeses with some mixed herbs and lavender you get a delicious biscuit that you’ll love to eat.
1 cup plain flour
2 tablespoons self–raising flour
125g butter chopped
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1 cup grated tasty cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon mixed herbs
1 teaspoon culinary lavender
1 tablespoon water
Sift the dry ingredients into a medium bowl, rub in the butter.Stir in the cheeses, mixed herbs and Mt Baimbridge Lavender culinary lavender. Mix enough water in to make a soft dough. Knead on a floured board until smooth. Shape the dough into a log, Wrap it tightly in foil and refrigerate for 1 hour. Cut into rounds and place on greased tray. Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for approx 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool on the tray.
